Kung may pasaway na magde-deny pa din na may Global Warming...

... SASAMPALIN ko talaga!

My God! Can't we see the signs? They're all around us! Typhoon Yolanda is the strongest storm to date but it won't be the strongest ever. Even stronger, more devastating typhoons are sure to follow. And they get their strength from the heat that builds up across the Pacific Ocean.

Look at the thermal map of the Pacific. The darker areas indicate higher temperatures than the surrounding areas. This was taken while climate scientists were tracking Typhoon Haiyan's progress.

Now, if higher sea temperatures = stronger storms, and Climate Change/Global Warming = warmer seas, and the Philippines is right smack at the receiving end of this "Typhoon Highway"... then I wanna move to Sweden ASAP! :-(

Damned Dams!

There has to be something suspect in Dams that alternately dry-out/spill-over too quickly.

Anyaare?!

Was there a flaw in the concept and design of these Dams? And, more importantly, is there still something we can do about it?

We need good Pinoy engineers and planners now more than ever.

We need more of these. Now na!

Maganda talaga ang Quezon City kasi, compared to other highly-urbanized cities in the Philippines, relatively "green" pa rin siya... although I believe this is more because of luck rather than a direct result of good environmental planning.

Still, we do need to preserve the remaining green areas that we have and, if possible, expand them further -- more parks, more trees, more plants.

Pero we also need to address the environmental planning aspect. New buildings must be environmental-friendly and green!

Kung kaya sa ibang bansa, Kyusi pa?! :-)

I wanna be her!

If you ever get the chance to download the Thai movie, "(First Love) A Little Thing Called Love," I bet you'll fall in love with the featured young actress, Baifern Pimchanok. I know I did!

Baifern's character, Nam (Thai for Water, I think), was sharing the limelight with another young Thai actor (who recently made a film in the Philippines), Mario Maurer.

But this post is not about him. Yes he was cute and all that, but, without a doubt, it was Baifern who carried the film. She possesses that "magic mix" (for lack of a better term) of cuteness, innocence, sexiness and intelligence that makes one believe she's really feeling all those emotions she's acting out (as in!)

And judging by her more recent fotos, malaki ang promesa ng Thai teen star na ito!

Baifern... abangan ang mga susunod na kabanata!

Kid Campaigner. Idol!

A few days ago, I caught a news segment on BBC featuring how a little girl from Scotland, Martha Payne, was able to gather enough donations online, through her blog, to fund several kitchens in Malawi to provide breakfast for hundreds of schoolchildren.

This is Martha showing the front page of her blog - neverseconds - which started it all.

And this is Martha in Malawi, together with some of the school kids who benefited from her campaign.

What an inspiring person, Martha is. And at such a young age! She really makes me want to do something similar for our own kababayans.

Great Trailer! Kelan kaya showing? :-)

This spoof really blew me away! Hurray for having lots of "free time" on our hands! Only good things can come (pun intended) out of it! :-)

I am what I eat. Yahoo!

Na-inspire lang ako ng isang recent blogpost ni Sir Taroogs entitled "You are what you watch talaga!" So true... naka-relate talaga ako.

Actually, I hear this a lot from my mom, dad, siblings, friends and random classmates. Apparently, they also believe in this shit [and I mean that in a good way :-)].

But, unlike Sir Taroogs, I'm not a big fan of movies and TV (not even DVDs), although I download some like many other "normal" peeps.

So I looked at what I love to eat, instead. Surely these are as definitive of my personality as the other choices I make in my everyday life?

Tama? TAMA! :-)

So what do I love to eat, and what does it say about me? The answer to the first question I can provide. Answering the latter, I leave up to God (or you. Whoever thinks deems to answer it first).
